OAG Signs Cooperation Agreement with New Zealand OAG

The Office of the Auditor General of Solomon Islands has entered into a historic cooperation agreement with the Office of the Auditor General of New Zealand.
The agreement, signed on February 10, 2026, establishes a framework for bilateral cooperation covering the following areas:
- Peer review of audit methodologies and practices
- Staff exchange and secondment programs
- Joint training initiatives on emerging audit areas such as climate finance and digital governance
- Technical assistance in developing IT audit capabilities
- Knowledge sharing on parliamentary engagement and public communication
This partnership represents a significant step forward in the Solomon Islands OAG commitment to meeting international auditing standards and delivering high-quality audit services to the people of Solomon Islands.
The agreement will run for an initial period of five years, with provisions for renewal based on mutual assessment of outcomes achieved.
